It is challenging to distinguish between thousands of similar parts when performing aircraft and ship maintenance. Further, following established procedures and cross-referencing the correct technical documents is also problematic, resulting in Billions of extra dollars in MRO, Tens of thousands of extra hours in the sites.
Using IAR-MAP (Intelligent Augmented Reality – Maintenance Platform), the solution provide the document to users by recognizing each parts in real time.
Previous proof of concept trials show that with the solution, maintenance takes less time and cost while accuracy is improved, resulting in over 30% increase in overall productivity

IAR-MAP(Intelligent Augmented Reality–Maintenance Platform)
An intelligent platform that can make knowledge from technical manuals, and can distinguish a large number of parts in dealing with complex maintenance, and can be automatically overlay with a specific instruction and cross-referenced manuals on the real parts.

The IAR-MAP can be applied not only to remote aircraft maintenance but also to various industries such as defense, medical, automobile, shipbuilding, heavy industry.
