Project
Fast, accurate and easy-to-use 3D input device for mobile virtual reality (VR)

Project Summary
[Tracking Device for VR, MR and AR]
AccuPS is developing a 360-degree inside-out tracking device that does not require an external camera, laser scanner or antenna. The existing inside-out hands tracking devices that utilize cameras mounted on a virtual reality (VR), mixed-reality (MR) or augmented reality (AR) headset suffer from a limited viewing angle (<120-degree), bulky size and low tracking speed. AccuPS's inside-out 360-degree hands tracking device will provide a compact and powerful solution for natural interactivity in VR, MR and AR at low-cost.

Business Model
AccuPS plans to enter the market through licensing the 3D interaction technology to mobile virtual reality (VR) headset and platform providers. AccuPS will expand the collaboration to other sectors including PC VR, mixed-reality (MR) and augmented reality (AR).

Main Achievements
AccuPS has raised a total of $450K grants from various funding sources that allowed a successful development of initial prototypes and feasibility test. Recently, AccuPS raised a $300K of seed funding from VCs investing in early stage tech startups. AccuPS is currently developing prototype samples that can be handed out to VR, MR and AR developers.
